Dao Of The Bizarre Immortal

Dan Yangzi, a master of cultivation, lectures his terrified disciples after a treacherous event. He warns them against harboring any ill intentions while also promising great rewards should he achieve immortality, emphasizing dire consequences for any who oppose him.

Li Huowang, a seemingly ordinary disciple, finds himself in an unusual position. Despite his internal doubts about the nature of his reality, he is unexpectedly elevated to official disciple status and given the Taoist name Xuan Yang.

As a gesture of goodwill, Dan Yangzi bestows upon Xuan Yang five divine pills, claiming they will increase lifespan and grant a temporary surge of strength. However, Li Huowang's suspicions are piqued when he perceives the pills as unnaturally behaving, hinting at a darker truth behind their creation.
