With a history of early exits in national qualifiers and a reputation that leaves their players too embarrassed to show their faces, the team struggles to even find opponents willing to play practice matches against them.

However, ignited by the unwavering spirit of his neighbor and team manager, Su Fei, Zhang Jun decides that silence and resignation are no longer options. Inspired by her philosophy of retaliation through action, he sets an ambitious goal for himself: to lead his team out of the shadows by scoring a hat-trick in their upcoming match. As they face off against better-funded and more arrogant rivals, the team must navigate the challenges of their impoverished circumstances and the prejudice of their peers to prove that their passion on the field is worth more than their reputation.
